The Gimp 2.6.2 (Windows, Open Source, 15MB) [alt DL] is a multiplatform photo manipulation tool. GIMP is an acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program. The GIMP is suitable for a variety of image manipulation tasks, including photo retouching, image composition, and image construction.
Also available for Linux.
Bugs fixed:
- Scaling in Gimp 2.6 is much slower than in Gimp 2.4
- unit and zoom entries in Statusbar not visible
- Cannot build GIMP using Sun CC on Solaris 2.8
- projection incorrect with alpha-less layers
- Zoom region always zooms in center of image
- "Qmask" message popping up here and there
- compatibility with GEGL > 0.0.20
