Pidgin 2.5.2 (Windows, Open Source, 12.5MB) [alt DL] is a multi-protocol instant messaging (IM) client. It is compatible with AIM and ICQ (Oscar protocol), MSN Messenger, Yahoo!, IRC, Jabber, Gadu-Gadu, SILC, GroupWise Messenger, and Zephyr networks.
Also available for Linux.

XEP-0231 (bits of binary) and XHTML-IM - Yahoo: Only send a Ping once every hour. This prevents the account from
being disconnected from the server periodically.
