The HD DVD features the full OS plus other apps, including iLife, iWork, Aperture, Final Cut Studio, and Logic Studio. All these will run from your optical drive, without affecting your currently installed operating system.
You can also install the OS on your hard drive with the included iMultiboot app, automatically adjusting your hard drive partitions to facilitate the creation of a dual boot system of your currently installed OS and the Green Edition Suite.
