ReactOS 0.3.4 (Windows, Open Source, 27.8MB) [download via FileForum] is an open source effort to create a Windows NT 4/2000/XP+ compatible operating system licensed under the GNU public license. In partnership with the WINE project, ReactOS also supports drivers which work under Microsoft Windows.
Changes:
- Added more entries to machine.inf to install ACPI thermal zones and lids
- LiveCDs now use the SOS boot screen

- Define default strings in the general "version.rc" resource file, which shouldn't be overwritten by applications.

- Display a simple bootlogo, instead of a black screen if /SOS option is not provided
- Create user profile if needed
- New i8042prt driver, plug-and-play compliant
