Aurora Password Manager (Windows, Freeware, 1.16MB) [via SnapFiles] is a secure password manager that lets you store all your logins, credit cards and other personal information in a AES-256 encrypted database. You can organize your accounts in categories, mark them with different icons and quickly copy username and password to the clipboard. The program includes features such as expiration dates, a random password generator, password history tracking, automatic backup and more.
This free application would be very useful if:
- You buy stuff online;
- You do online banking, where passwords are changed every few months;
- You sign up to various online sites;
- You keep a list of usernames and passwords in a text file.
I'd say the 3rd and 4th conditions would fit a lot of online folks (like me), and the Aurora Password Manager could be a nice solution to our "unsecure" habits.
